About

Yusimi Alba is the Founder, President, and Artistic Director of Crescendo Community Arts, Inc., where she leads the organization’s mission to strengthen communities through inclusive music and arts programs.

A classically trained singer, choral conductor, music educator, and music therapist, Yusimi brings more than 15 years of experience in music education, vocal training, ensemble work, and community-based musical programming.

She holds professional training in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance and has served as a university-level voice and ensemble instructor. Her professional experience also includes work as a soloist and choral singer, as well as extensive teaching with children and families.

She also holds a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy, with academic work focused on the use of structured songs to support expressive language development in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Through Crescendo Community Arts, Yusimi combines her artistic and educational experience with a strong commitment to community service. Her work focuses on creating welcoming spaces where children and families can access meaningful music and arts experiences regardless of background, language, ability, or previous musical experience.

As Artistic Director, she leads Crescendo’s musical and educational vision, develops community programs and performances, directs its choral initiatives, and builds partnerships that connect families, artists, educators, volunteers, and community organizations through the arts.
